Statement of Faith

We believe that the whole of Scripture is the divinely inspired written word of God. From Genesis to Revelation, the Tanakh (“Old Testament”) and the New Covenant Scriptures (“New Testament”) together are sufficient and supreme, complete, and without error in their original manuscripts. They are fully trustworthy and solely authoritative for every area of the believer’s life.

Matthew 5:17-18; Matthew 22:29; Luke 24:32; John 10:35; Acts 18:28; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 3:16

We believe in the One (אחד) True Eternal God, יהוהAdonai—the God of Israel—perfect and holy, who is the Creator of everything, and who has revealed Himself to us through His creation generally and through His written word specifically. We believe that the Father is known only through the Son—Yeshua the Messiah, the Word of God who became flesh—and that we are enlightened to His truth by the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit).

Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Kings 18:36; Matthew 11:27; John 1:1, 14; John 16:13; Romans 1:20; Revelation 4:8

We believe that man was created by God in His image, for His glory, but that because of man’s own sin, he is incapable of turning to God for salvation apart from unmerited favor (grace). Without redemption, the price for that sin is death, including eternal punishment and destruction in a literal hell, and separation from God forever.

Genesis 1:27; Isaiah 59:2; Matthew 10:28; Matthew 25:46; John 6:44; Ephesians 2:8; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

We believe that God, therefore, in His great compassion and love, established a plan to save and reconcile mankind to Himself. To that end, He chose and set apart the people of Israel—the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: the Jewish people—as a kingdom of ko’haniym (priests) and a holy nation. God has called Israel with an irrevocable call, and promised that they would be a blessing to all the families of the earth, for the sake of restoring humanity to their Creator. The Jewish people—including Jews who follow Yeshua as Messiah—remain God’s uniquely treasured people Israel, with whom He continues today to keep all of His covenants.

Genesis 12:3; Genesis 17:7; Exodus 19:6; Deuteronomy 7:6; Isaiah 42:6, 49:6; Romans 11:29

We believe that God, as promised in His covenants with Israel, and in fulfillment of His salvation plan, brought forth through the Jewish people the one Mediator between Himself and man, Yeshua the Messiah. We believe that faith in Yeshua is the only way for everyone—Jew or Gentile—to return or be brought near to God, to be forgiven for all their sins, to be made right before God, to be born again, to receive salvation (ישועה, yeshuah), and to be given the free gift of eternal life.

Ezekiel 36:26; Matthew 7:13-14; John 3:3; Romans 5:19; Romans 6:3; Romans 9:4-5; Romans 10:9-10; Galatians 3:17; Ephesians 2:13; Colossians 1:14; 1 Timothy 2:5

We believe that Yeshua is God’s one and only Son—that He is fully human, fully God, and One with the Father. We believe in His sinless life, in His miracles, and in His sacrificial death, which paid the price through His blood to redeem us from our sins. We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His once and for all atonement, and in His promised return.

John 3:16; John 10:30; Acts 1:9; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:7; Philippians 3:10; Colossians 2:9; Titus 2:14; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:12; 1 Peter 1:3-4; 1 Peter 1:18-19

We believe that the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) indwells the believer—sealing, renewing, convicting and empowering him—so that he may turn from his sins and walk in newness of life. We believe that, by His Spirit, God sets believers apart from the world to lead a holy and godly life according to His will and His word. He unites us into Yeshua’s Called-Forth (ekklesia)—the spiritual Body of Messiah upon the earth—for the collective building up of one another for those within, and for the bold proclamation of Yeshua to those without.

John 14:17; Romans 2:4; Romans 5:5; Romans 6:4; Romans 6:22; Romans 10:14; 2 Corinthians 1:22; 1 Thessalonians 1:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; 2 Peter 3:11-12, Titus 3:5; Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe in the coming salvation of all Israel which will usher in the physical return of Yeshua, the resurrection of the dead, the judgment of all mankind, the new heaven and new earth, and the end of the age, when the righteous in Yeshua will praise and glorify God in His very presence forever.

Psalm 140:13; Zechariah 14:4; Matthew 13:49-50; Matthew 23:39; Romans 11:15; Romans 11:26; 2 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 1:7; Revelation 7:12; Revelation 21:1; Revelation 22:5

Mission Statement

To equip and disciple both Jewish and Gentile believers in Yeshua to bear the standard of Scripture by applying the whole Word of God practically, by the Spirit, and in the fullness of Messiah.

Vision Statement

To challenge, exhort and teach believers in Messiah to elevate and uphold the entire Scriptures as their sole, supreme, sufficient, objective and authoritative guide for living a holy and godly life. Using both the most recent technologies as well as traditional communication methods, Perfect Word therefore seeks to:

  • Publish resources and teachings from a Messianic Jewish perspective that promote Yeshua-centric individual, family and community standards and values that are rooted in the Scriptures;
  • Expose and confront doctrines, teachings, beliefs and influences that are contrary and hostile to the Scriptures, and dangerous to the faith of the believer;
  • Facilitate and advance the prophetic restoration of all Jewish people to their unique identity, calling and purpose as Israel—in the Messiah Yeshua, according to the Scriptures;
  • Provide oversight, counsel, guidance, accountability and practical support to Called-Forth-communities that gather in messianic congregations or in homes; and
  • Work together with other Messianic ministries and leaders who share the mutual goal of equipping the Body of Messiah.
